It looks similar, but plugging in a device in the **REAR** jacks (the ASUS version only does this for the front jacks) brings up a dialog box for 'which device did you plug in?'. That's fine, but in Realtek's implementation: ![]() Notice the jacks that are plugged in are colored, while the ones that aren't plugged in are grayed out. The screenshot below shows my main concern: ![]() I have a Maximus VI Hero, and after recently setting everything up and updating my audio drivers to the latest found on the ASUS ROG site (Version 601.6923), I noticed that the ROG version of the Realtek HD Audio Manager is crippled in certain functionality compared to Realtek's own HD Audio Manager (which I used in my previous setup). ![]()
